BEST ANSWER: I was able to get it to work ( albeit in a roundabout way that im sure isn't designed ) by using the Portion of a monitor section and specifying it manually through trial and error. On the preview section its like a tiny portion of where it should be, but it works.
I think Monoprice needs to get their act together with the drivers for this thing, because they definitely do not work properly. I also had a problem with the pressure sensitivity not working, which I could only get to work by completely uninstalling the driver and letting windows handle it. on Oct 24, 2018. BEST ANSWER: After a lot of searching when I had similar problems what I found is that because it's not a big name tablet a lot of programs don't recognize it, so your computer may be reading it as a mouse and not as a tablet. Krita, for example, won't let you use it as both at the same time so it goes all haywire. It works perfectly with Sketchable, but in general make sure you've got the right driver and the program you're using is reading it as a tablet. on Aug 6, 2018.

I have 2 other tablets and this is equal to them or better.
If you have never owned a tablet before this is the one for you. There are minor differences between them, but effectively, a person gets used to what they used the most.
If you have more brains than money you will buy this rather than the more expensive name brand tablets. If a developer reads this, please update the driver to allow the alt key to be mapped to the stylus. (this would allow selecting the clone source in photoshop without using two hands) PROS: Price, build quality, you can map all the keys and hot zones.
CONS: I don't think you can map the alt key to any of the buttons on the tablet or stylus. I ordered this tablet after seeing a special online. I had never used a drawing tablet with my work and thought this would be a good entry level item. The reviews seemed good so I went ahead with it. Only after I ordered did I learn about the driver issues with newer macs.
I am running El Capitan. I made the decision to try installing things and managed to get it to sort of work. Things were very slow and jittery. At one point it seemed that my comp and photoshop recognized the tablet and it actually drew things smoothly.
I was disappointed that I couldn't get the control panel software installed. There was no way to adjust anything If I wanted to. I searched around online and found some video reviews and info about this tablet. I learned that a few companies add their brand to this tablet and sell it. That's where I hit pay dirt.
I learned that a company called Huion sells the tablet and makes it's own drivers/software for it. I decided to throw caution to the wind and download their Mac driver packet and what do you know. I was able to install control panel software that lets me assign hotkeys, adjust the pressure settings, and everything else I need to do. The mac drivers I installed were for the Huion H610 Pro. Also it was a youtube review for the Huion tablet that prompted me to search for their drivers. I was able to see it is identical to the Monoprice tablet. Since then I've had a good time experimenting with the monoprice tablet.

It fits my need of wanting to learn more about drawing with a tablet without having to make a huge investment. I hope this is helpful to past buyers and potential buyers. PROS: Good entry level Well priced CONS: DRIVER ISSUES. What's there to say about a product that's priced right and works as expected? This is the first I've used a graphics tablet so I don't speak from a professional's point of view.
I found it easy to use for editing images pixel by pixel in preparation for doing a trace bitmap for use in vinyl cutting software. ThIs can be a tedious job and the tablet is definitely the fastest and easiest way to perform this task. ThIs tablet worked flawlessly. PROS: Performs as advertised, seems to be well made, the price was right. CONS: Software install was not quite described right but there was no real problem. Monoprice really needs to invest in some well placed web ads to get the word out about these tablets. At a FRACTION of the cost of Wacom, you can get a devise that preforms at least as well.
I've been shopping for a used Intuos 3 for 2 years now, and I couldn't even find that for this price. A lot of people said that they had issues installing the drivers. I was leery of that and expected an uphill battle to get it installed but much to my surprise is loaded right up. NO ISSUES with the install, so don't let that scare you away. If you are an artist who has never tried a tablet because you couldn't afford it or were afraid to invest serious money one something that you might not use, this is the tablet for you PROS: A Graphic Drawing Tablet that we can all afford! Works perfectly!
Cool sleek design. Love the convenience of the hot keys. Installed to my computer without ANY issues. This is an amazing device for the price. I am using it with Photoshop and Illustrator on a Mac, and have not run into any issues yet. The pressure sensitivity is great, the accuracy feels good, and the drawing surface has a nice texture.
I've owned high-end tablets, and this one works just as well for what I need, at a much lower price. When I got it, I made sure to follow the installation instructions exactly. The driver software feels very no-frills, but I was able to set up the pen and tablet buttons the way I want them. The pen is weighted a little weirdly because of the battery, but I've already gotten used to that. I bought this for casual use, and I have a high-end tablet I use for work, but this Monoprice tablet preforms so well that I feel like I could use it for professional work. I've only had the tablet a few weeks, so the only thing I can't comment on is longevity.
PROS: Price High pressure sensitivity Pen stand and extra nibs included CONS: Driver software is not very slick Pen needs batteries. Got my tablet in less than a week, and I live in Canada. The tablet itself is big, but not too much, and its drivers are easy to install. Got it to be able to function in less than 10 minutes! Pen feels great in hand, a bit big but it's ok!
I switched from a Wacom Intuos Pen Small to the Monoprice 10 x 6.25, and I don't regret! It's great to use (I was drawing with it in less than 20 minutes, flawless!), surface a bit textured, I like it alot! Great for the price! It's been an year that I have my other tablt, and I won't come back to Wacoms for a long time PROS: Easy to install Quick to use Fast delivery Perfect for beginners to intermediate users CONS: Surface a bit grungy A bit too big pen. I love this drawing tablet. It's a fraction of the cost of other tablets and works just fine for me and what I want to do with it - draw and paint.
Would totally 100% recommend to anyone that wants to get into digital drawing and painting. I haven't had a complaint about the battery life of my pen and I've used it for hours upon hours since I first got it in the mail. I 'turn off' the pen by clicking the top of it like an ink pen when I'm not using it. I don't know why other people have problems. Also, just get a rechargeable AAA batter anyway. Pressure sensitivity doesn't work in the new version of Gimp, but works fine in Corel Paint - that's not a con against this tablet, just an FYI for those having issues. Supposedly it works fine in Gimp 2.6, but not 2.8 at all.
Totally works fine in Corel, haven't tried photoshop. PROS: Very affordable Lightweight Responsive CONS: None. I bought this tablet about a year ago, and was disappointed to see that the Mac drivers had last been update in 2013.
I posted a review at the time complaining about the quality of the drivers (lack of middle mouse option, jittery cursor movement, frequent problems which would also affect mice and trackpads) and though staff tried to help me, there were no solutions for my problems. However, thanks to the review below by Anonymous from Lynden, Washington, the tablet now draws VERY smoothly and I can set my upper button to middle mouse as I prefer.
The HUION H610 drivers work so well that even though I've only had them installed for five minutes I absolutely HAVE to rave about them here, they are exactly what this tablet needs. I've gone from frustrated to the point of almost buying a new tablet to completely satisfied with one driver installation. PROS: With the HUION H610 drivers, it seems to work flawlessly. Love it to bits!
CONS: Decent drivers not available on Monoprice website, historically Huion drivers didn't seem to work. The tablet works well.
No complaints. The sensitivity is very nice. I've used the tablet in Photoshop as well as Blender (sculpting mode).
I read a few reviews complaining that they couldn't map the tablet to multiple monitors. I have had no such problems. I am currently mapped across two 16:10 monitors with a 1:1 ratio of screen to tablet. There are many many options to work with in the driver tabs.
PROS: THE PRICE Very thin, but solidly designed. Software installs quickly and easily.
Pen pressure sensitivity is very nice (I prefer it to Wacom). Pen feels solid, and has a good weight. The active area is actually a few mm larger than the gray rectangle. CONS: NOTE: Install drivers BEFORE plugging tablet in for the first time!! Wacom's pen activates upon contact. This pen may contact and not activate with an extremely soft amount of pressure.

Not sure if this is a learning curve issue, or an annoyance yet. I wish Monoprice sold an even bigger tablet. I want a larger one!
Kid-friendly versions of digital drawing pads Your young child may love drawing now, but the idea of dropping a lot of coin on an expensive Wacom tablet that might get broken easily is not something I would want to do. I’ve put together a list of fun digital tablets that are intended to not break your pocketbook or your heart if your kid decides to use it as a hammer. Click on each link to read more about each one on Amazon! – This tablet is the lowest priced of the Wacom tablets, but it only uses your hands and not a pen. – Not a drawing tablet, but great if you already own an Apple iPad.
